Roadmap

Where Enclave is going. This is a statement of intent, not a set of promises with dates on them.

Things move when we learn something — usually from someone telling us what they actually needed. If something here matters to you, or something you need is missing, write to hello@eze.ink and say so. That is how most of this list got reordered last time.

Anything already released is deleted from this page, because What's new lists it.

Next

• Signing in without a password. A link in your e-mail, a passkey, or a code from your authenticator app. There will never be a password to forget.
• Your profile and your settings. A name, a photo, a language, a time zone, a theme and a text size that follow you everywhere.
• Seeing who looked. A record of who opened your profile, which devices are signed in, and a way to end any of them from anywhere.
• Organizations. The thing all of this is for: a place with people in it, who have roles, who can be given or refused things one at a time.

Later

• Teams, and things only some people can see. Membership decides what exists for you; teams narrow it; a per-item list narrows it again.
• The everyday apps. A feed, documents, a calendar, files, projects and tasks, chat, notes, a calculator, drawing.
• A desktop that remembers. Windows that reopen where you left them, on whichever machine you sign in from.
• Bring your own. Point Enclave at your own database, your own model key and your own file storage. Your data stays yours, in your account.
• Build your own tools, and sell them. Describe a table, get screens for it, and offer the result to your own clients.
• Your own address. Your organization on your domain, with your name and your logo on it.

Not planned

A no is information, so here are ours and why.

• A mobile app in the app stores. Enclave installs from the browser and works offline-tolerant on the phone already. A second codebase to maintain would slow everything above down, and we would rather ship that list.
• A free tier with unlimited people. Every person on the platform costs us something real. A free tier that pretends otherwise ends as a price rise for the people who stayed.
• Importing from every competitor. We will import a spreadsheet, and we will export everything you have in formats you can read without us. Bespoke importers age badly and are never quite right.
• Selling or sharing your data, ever. Not a roadmap item. Not a future option. It is in the terms because it is a decision, not a policy.
